Kickoff meeting after summer break: Environmental friendly AGBC meeting

Climate change is real. But there are so many small things one can do to reduce CO2 output, limit plastic pollution and help to shape a world that will still be habitable for our children and future generations to come. E.g., have you heard about a new store in town, called UNVERPACKT? This little store sells its environment-friendly goods mostly without packaging. Filling up their own home containers, customers not only purchase healthy, organic and mostly local food, but also only buy what and how much is actually needed. Supporting this small business surely is one great way to get started about living more consciously.

We were thrilled that Heiko Hammerschmidt, the owner of UNVERPACKT, invited us on September 26, 2019 to an informative evening about the concept of zero waste and visions for the future. During this unique presentation, Heiko told us more about his experience and plans and he explored the store with us in detail. Rounding up the event, we sampled and tasted different foods and drinks while being welcomed to chat in our typical network manner after the presentation and tour.

A huge thank you goes to our director for events, Leonie Garth, who organized this great event in cooperation with UNVERPACKT.
