To apply, applicants must…

… be Rheinland-Pfalz residents with a home residence in the surrounding communities of Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens, Saarbrücken, Koblenz or Mainz and engage/plan to engage in higher level studies.

… be currently enrolled in courses through either the University of Kaiserslautern or other accredited university with a minimum of one year remaining for completion of degree; or be a high school senior with acceptance to an accredited college or university.

… give service to the community – e.g. tutoring, youth programs, churches or other.

… submit a 1000 word essay in English on how their studies will positively enhance the world we live in today.

… include a one-page cover letter in English with name, current address, phone number, email address, name and location of university/college/high school attending, year expected to complete degree, a brief outline of current course of study and any pertinent cross-cultural experiences.
